So I want to know who decided that it is a bad idea to freeze meat? I see all these fast food commercials that advertise "never frozen" and other dining establishments advertise that your meal is "not made until you order it." All I'm saying is I live in San Diego, and I don't see In-and-Out having a cow in the back next to the fry making machine freely giving out chunks of his or her "filet mignon"...or any near by farms delivering sides of beef on a daily basis. How do they keep the meat fresh? A refrigerator? Don't get me wrong...I LOVE fast food (especially In-and-Out, btw)...it's fast, it's cheap, and it's usually super yummie, but I would much prefer to have my meat frozen...at least then I know it has been kept in a state where it is not slowly decaying on its trip from god knows where! I freeze meat all the time...and then i cook it and it's good. The days of salting meat to keep it fresh longer are so last century...I say we move over to the freezer where it's nice and cool.
